He Passed his M.B.B.S from Gujarat University in 1972 & M.S. (Ophthalmology) in 1976 under the Guidance of eminent teacher and surgen Dr P.N.Nagpal. He worked with Dr. Ramesh desai initially dor one year after passing his M.S from 1976-77.

He started his own private practice in Cambay(Khambhat) in 1977 and Nishant Eye hospital came into existence. He served the poppulation of Cambay for six years during which he emerged as one of the leading Ophthalmic Surgeon.

He then shifted his working destination to anand for good. He started his hospital with the same name, Nishant Eye Hospital. He is presently one of the senior most eye surgeon and is still going strong with more than 30 years behind him and many yrs still to go.
